KAKUUTO — The Member of Parliament for Kakuuto County, Hon. Kaka Ismail Lubega Uthuman, has donated 30 bags of cement to Buuliro Primary School in a move aimed at supporting the improvement of education infrastructure and creating a better learning environment for pupils.
The donation, which was handed over to the school management and local leaders, will be used to support ongoing construction works at the school as part of efforts to improve classroom facilities and enhance the quality of education.
Speaking during the handover, Hon. Kaka said education remains one of the most important investments any society can make, noting that improving school infrastructure is critical to ensuring learners study in a safe, secure and conducive environment.
He said the development of Kakuuto County largely depends on the education and empowerment of its young people, adding that leaders have a responsibility to support initiatives that improve access to quality education.
“We must continue investing in our schools because today’s learners are tomorrow’s leaders. Providing decent learning facilities gives our children a better opportunity to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the development of our communities,” the legislator said.
Hon. Kaka pledged to continue working with school administrators, parents and local leaders to address challenges affecting education in the constituency, particularly inadequate infrastructure that continues to hinder effective teaching and learning in some schools.
The school’s administration welcomed the donation, describing it as timely and significant. They said the cement will accelerate the ongoing construction project, which is expected to improve learning conditions for pupils while providing teachers with a more suitable working environment.
