CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has increased annual financial support to each of the 54 member associations from US$200,000 to US$700,000 in a move aimed at strengthening football development across Africa.
The increased funding is expected to help national football federations improve their operations, strengthen financial stability and invest in football development.
The initiative seeks to address financial challenges facing many African football associations while creating more opportunities to develop local talent and improve football infrastructure.
The increased support is also expected to strengthen the foundations of African football by enabling federations to improve their structures and expand the growth of the game.
The move highlights Motsepe’s commitment to supporting national associations and promoting the long-term development of football across the continent.
