KAMPALA – The Minister of State for Privatization and Investment, Hon. Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi, today hosted the leadership of Balaji Agro Industries at her office to discuss opportunities for expanding investment in Uganda’s agriculture sector.

The meeting focused on promoting commercial farming, increasing value addition, creating employment opportunities, and expanding agro-industrial investments across the country.

Hon. Mukalazi emphasized the importance of attracting private sector investment to boost agricultural productivity and support Uganda’s economic transformation. She noted that investments in agro-processing and commercial agriculture are key to increasing farmers’ incomes and strengthening local production.

The discussions also explored ways of enhancing collaboration between the government and the private sector to unlock investment opportunities and promote sustainable growth in the agriculture sector.

Balaji Agro Industries reaffirmed its commitment to investing in Uganda and supporting initiatives that contribute to industrialization, job creation, and value addition in agricultural production.

The meeting reflects the government’s continued efforts to create a conducive environment for investors while promoting agriculture as a driver of economic growth and national development.
